The Tonggao 18.1 cm high, 17.2 cm in diameter and 19.6 cm in abdominal diameter of the "Four Beasts" bronze tripod was unearthed in the tomb of Liu Sheng, King Jing of Zhongshan, Mancheng City, in 1968. Ding is a kind of food utensil in the pre-Qin period of China. It is usually used for cooking. This copper tripod has three legs. The tripods are all small bears, with two round ears, big eyes and a grin. It is reasonable to say that "crouching with a big tripod" should be heavy and unhappy, but the bear is laughing, as if doing a happy thing, charming and lovely. |
